What do Public Adjusters do?

A Public Adjuster evaluates the damage suffered by your property in order for you to get the right amount of money back.

There’s a public entity in the United States known simply as a Public Adjuster (PA). Maybe you’ve heard of them or maybe you haven’t. What a PA does is simply stand for the rights of policyholders when their insurance companies don’t.
Maybe you’ve heard of cases of people who are property owners and have their houses or businesses covered by an insurance policy, and due to flooding, fires, or other natural disasters, something bad happens to their property. What do they usually do in these cases? They contact their insurance companies to have all the damages repaired. But what happens when the insurance pays off an amount that is less than the actual cost of the repairs? It’s not uncommon to hear stories of this happening: people who are let down by their insurance company.
This is preposterous and should never happen. You trust your insurance company with your property and you expect them to answer when you need them. That’s why there are Public Adjusters: these are people licensed by each state to defend and protect the interests of the policyholder.
When the insurance company pays less than the right amount, people can call on a PA. What they do is evaluate the level of damages caused to your property, and based on this evaluation, they will determine the amount of money the insurance company has to give you. Being licensed authorities in this matter, whatever they say, goes even if the case is taken to court.
Public Adjusters exist on the statutes of 44 states of the Union, plus the District of Columbia. The only states that do not recognize this figure are Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. A PA’s license is valid only in the state it is issued, though. Which means they can only work in that specific state, although it is possible for a person to be licensed in more than one state.
If you ever hire a Public Adjuster, they will stand for you even in court if necessary to protect your interests and see that you get fully compensated by the damages caused to your property. They will analyze your insurance policy thoroughly, and they will answer any questions you may have regarding it or any technical lingo that you may not be familiar with.
Most Public Adjusters work for a standard fee based on a small percentage of the final amount the insurance policy pays off after the process is done. Their wages will depend on several factors, such as state laws and their own particular policy.
In a state annually hit by hurricanes and tropical storms, such as Florida, every person who owns an insured property should always have a Public Adjuster as one of their contacts in case they ever need one. We know you trust your insurance company but remember that as with any company in the world, they will try to pay as little as possible in any given situation. In these cases, you can always count on people like Alfredo Arnesen, Public Adjuster to help you out. With plenty of years of experience under his arm in this field, he’s the one you want to turn to in cases like these.

A Public Adjuster will always have your back and help you with your insurance policy.
